Nearly 20 family members from several countries who lost loved ones in the Boeing crash in Ethiopia met with Boeing executives, including CEO Dennis Muilenburg, on Tuesday, October 29, 2019. Timothy Keating, Executive Vice President of Boeing’s Government Operations, was part of the meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the families’ priorities of funding philanthropic efforts.
The family members attended a 10 a.m. hearing before the Senate Commerce Committee and also attended the full House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure where Boeing CEO Mr. Muilenburg testified. See video of some of the family members speaking before the hearing.
Also scheduled to testify at that House Hearing are Boeing’s Vice President and Chief Engineer, John Hamilton, in Rayburn House Office Building Room 2167.
Lead counsel in the crash in Ethiopia, Robert A. Clifford, founder and senior partner of Clifford Law Offices in Chicago, is available to speak to the press. Watch video of Clifford speaking before the meetings. Also in this video are Nadia Milleron, who lost her daughter in the crash speaking after the meetings, Ralph Nader, who lost his grand-niece in the crash and Paul Njoroge, who lost his wife, three children and mother-in-law.
Family members returned from Ethiopia where they collected the remains of those who died in the March 10 crash of an Ethiopian Airlines 737 Max8 jet. They have bonded together as a group forming a non-profit organization as well as a website so that their family members will not be forgotten.
